Solar Activity
Solar activity was at low levels. Region 4149 (N18E17, Ehi/beta) underwent decay, gaining seperation in its remaining itermediate spots. Region 4150 (S13E15, Cao/beta) gained new leading spots and produced a C2.5 flare at 23/1337 UTC, which was the largest event of the period. Region 4153 (S29E43, Dai/beta) underwent evolution, gaining trailing spots with asymettric penumbra, but remained relatively quiet. Region 4154 (S15E62, Eao/beta) was numbered this period as it rotated into proper view for classification, but remained relatively quiet as well. New spots were noted near S10E75, but remain unnumbered at this time as we await better positioning for proper classification.
Solar Wind
The solar wind environment reflected negative polarity CH HSS influences. Total field reached a peak of 19 nT early in the period and then gradually decreased to 6 nT. The Bz component under went several southward deflections reaching -8 to -12 nT over the course of the period. Solar wind speeds gradually increased from ~460 km/s to ~725 km/s. Phi was predominantly in a negative solar sector.
Energetic Particle
The greater than 2 MeV electron flux returned to moderate levels. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux was steady at background levels throughout the period.
