The Solar System at a Glance

Solar wind parameters reflected minor enhancements attributed to weak positive polarity CH effects. Total field averaged near 6 nT for most of the period, with a slight increase to 9 nT near midday. The Bz component was mostly north through 25/0900 UTC before becoming variable between +9 nT and -7 nT. Solar wind speeds were largely suspect throughout the period, but most indications showed speeds between 425-550 km/s. Phi was mostly positive during the period. There is a 35% chance of solar activity, with a 15% chance of a minor event, a 1% chance of a moderate event, and a 1% chance of a strong event.
