The voyage of Mars through Cancer gives us the opportunity to blend the fiery planet’s initiative with Cancerian concerns for preservation. We’ll want to spend this time carefully building things that honor and acknowledge our connection to the past and to family values. Our urge to move forward during this time doesn’t cut us off from familiar patterns, but includes them, to make for a more gentle and comfortable step into the future.
It’s true that Mars is toned down when it moves through sensitive Cancer, but that doesn’t mean we won’t get anything done. If we learn how to work with the Mars-in-Cancer energy, a great deal can be accomplished. Digging into domestic tasks is one of the best ways to use this transit. Mars in Cancer is a great opportunity to get out your hammer and nails so you can start (or finish) a home improvement project.
You may also feel a greater need to fight for the rights of a family member or a domestic situation during this time. Even though Mars in Cancer prefers using its energy to nurture, it will ultimately do whatever it takes to defend what and whom it cares about. As a result, you may notice that an intensely protective instinct takes over your actions when Mars and Cancer sync up.
The problem with Mars’ transit though cautious Cancer is that rather than taking a direct approach to going after what we want, we take a more passive one. If we don’t feel emotionally connected to something, it’s unlikely we’ll take action. Unfortunately, the action we do take is usually ruled by the heart, and may be more reactive and oversensitive than purposeful.

Hello, fellow space crabs! I see Mercury has decided to crash at your place. How very accommodating of you, Cancer. Very Airbnb of you. As a token of appreciation, it's going to stir up some emotions and memories. Don't be surprised if you find yourself tearing up over that one time you dropped your ice cream cone in third grade - #MercuryInCancer #EmotionalRollercoaster.
Now, let's talk about our lovely Waning Gibbous moon. It's 19.2 days old. It’s practically an adult in moon years! You might feel an urge to wrap a blanket around it and tell it stories about the good old days when it was just a little crescent. This is the time to release, let go, and purge like your browser history after a deep dive into conspiracy theories - #MoonDetox #OldMoonNewYou
Remember, Cancer, there's a lot of space stuff happening above our heads, but it's your feet on the ground that matter most. So, keep those pinchers steady and your shell intact, because things are about to get interesting. #CrabLife #AstroNerd
Stay stellar, Cancer, and don’t forget to have fun, or you might end up as crabby as a... well, you know. #HoroscopeHumor
