Mars In Cancer
The voyage of Mars through Cancer gives us the opportunity to blend the fiery planet’s initiative with Cancerian concerns for preservation. We’ll want to spend this time carefully building things that honor and acknowledge our connection to the past and to family values. Our urge to move forward during this time doesn’t cut us off from familiar patterns, but includes them, to make for a more gentle and comfortable step into the future.
It’s true that Mars is toned down when it moves through sensitive Cancer, but that doesn’t mean we won’t get anything done. If we learn how to work with the Mars-in-Cancer energy, a great deal can be accomplished. Digging into domestic tasks is one of the best ways to use this transit. Mars in Cancer is a great opportunity to get out your hammer and nails so you can start (or finish) a home improvement project.
You may also feel a greater need to fight for the rights of a family member or a domestic situation during this time. Even though Mars in Cancer prefers using its energy to nurture, it will ultimately do whatever it takes to defend what and whom it cares about. As a result, you may notice that an intensely protective instinct takes over your actions when Mars and Cancer sync up.
The problem with Mars’ transit though cautious Cancer is that rather than taking a direct approach to going after what we want, we take a more passive one. If we don’t feel emotionally connected to something, it’s unlikely we’ll take action. Unfortunately, the action we do take is usually ruled by the heart, and may be more reactive and oversensitive than purposeful.

Hey there, Cosmic Crabs! 🦀✨ As your resident astrologer and part-time Jedi wannabe, let's get into your horoscope. Right now, the moon is as old as a toddler just learning to walk (24 days). It's a Third Quarter moon, which in Star Wars terminology, means we're roughly three-quarters of the way through "The Return of the Jedi" (and if you ask me, that's when things really start getting good).
So, what does this mean for you, my dear Cancers? Well, it's time to channel your inner Luke Skywalker. You've spent enough time training on Dagobah (or whatever your personal swampy planet is) and it's time to face your Darth Vader. Whether that's a challenging project, a difficult conversation, or deciding whether to order pizza or sushi for dinner tonight, it's time to make like Luke and take that leap of faith.
But remember, even Luke had his support system. Your droids, er, friends and family are by your side. Reach out to them, maybe even plan a Rebel Alliance meeting, otherwise known as a group hangout.
And finally, just remember: "In my experience, there is no such thing as luck." So go out there, trust in the Force (or in this case, the stars), and show the universe what you're made of!
