Mars In Cancer

The voyage of Mars through Cancer gives us the opportunity to blend the fiery planet’s initiative with Cancerian concerns for preservation. We’ll want to spend this time carefully building things that honor and acknowledge our connection to the past and to family values. Our urge to move forward during this time doesn’t cut us off from familiar patterns, but includes them, to make for a more gentle and comfortable step into the future.

It’s true that Mars is toned down when it moves through sensitive Cancer, but that doesn’t mean we won’t get anything done. If we learn how to work with the Mars-in-Cancer energy, a great deal can be accomplished. Digging into domestic tasks is one of the best ways to use this transit. Mars in Cancer is a great opportunity to get out your hammer and nails so you can start (or finish) a home improvement project.

You may also feel a greater need to fight for the rights of a family member or a domestic situation during this time. Even though Mars in Cancer prefers using its energy to nurture, it will ultimately do whatever it takes to defend what and whom it cares about. As a result, you may notice that an intensely protective instinct takes over your actions when Mars and Cancer sync up.

The problem with Mars’ transit though cautious Cancer is that rather than taking a direct approach to going after what we want, we take a more passive one. If we don’t feel emotionally connected to something, it’s unlikely we’ll take action. Unfortunately, the action we do take is usually ruled by the heart, and may be more reactive and oversensitive than purposeful.

The Waning Crescent moon is currently 26.8 days old. The next new moon is at 9:38:49, 16 Aug 2023. The next full moon is at 1:37:05, 31 Aug 2023.

Greetings, my interstellar crustaceans! The moon is back in your celestial dwelling, just like a boomerang always comes back - unless you throw it wrong, then you're out of luck. You've got a Waning Crescent moon, now 26.8 days old, which in moon years... well, it's still a baby, really. The universe has a tale to tell, and guess what? You are the main character this time. Yup, you're the Captain Kirk of your own cosmic Star Trek episode. So, prepare your photon torpedoes and get ready to explore strange new worlds, or at least, strange new experiences. Your home planet is cuddling up with the moon in your sign, creating a stellar lovefest of emotion and intuition. This could bring about an emotional revelation, like finally realizing that 'Babylon 5' is the best space opera ever (which it totally is, by the way). The universe is pointing its giant neon sign at your emotional health, prompting a check-in. Remember, it's okay to feel all the feels. Even Spock had his emotional moments, and he's a Vulcan. However, don't forget, the next full moon is expected at 1:37:05, August 31, 2023. I can't predict if it'll be a werewolf-free night but in the meantime, howl at the moon, my lunar-loving lobsters! Embrace the cosmic energy, let it guide you to new frontiers like a GPS, but one that works on quantum mechanics instead of boring old satellites. And remember, keep your phasers set to 'fun'. #CrabtasticCancer #MoonDance #SpaceOperaFeels #QuantumGPS #NerdyAstrologer #PhasersSetToFun #Babylon5IsTheBest #WerewolfOrNotHereWeCome
