The voyage of Mars through Cancer gives us the opportunity to blend the fiery planet’s initiative with Cancerian concerns for preservation. We’ll want to spend this time carefully building things that honor and acknowledge our connection to the past and to family values. Our urge to move forward during this time doesn’t cut us off from familiar patterns, but includes them, to make for a more gentle and comfortable step into the future.
It’s true that Mars is toned down when it moves through sensitive Cancer, but that doesn’t mean we won’t get anything done. If we learn how to work with the Mars-in-Cancer energy, a great deal can be accomplished. Digging into domestic tasks is one of the best ways to use this transit. Mars in Cancer is a great opportunity to get out your hammer and nails so you can start (or finish) a home improvement project.
You may also feel a greater need to fight for the rights of a family member or a domestic situation during this time. Even though Mars in Cancer prefers using its energy to nurture, it will ultimately do whatever it takes to defend what and whom it cares about. As a result, you may notice that an intensely protective instinct takes over your actions when Mars and Cancer sync up.
The problem with Mars’ transit though cautious Cancer is that rather than taking a direct approach to going after what we want, we take a more passive one. If we don’t feel emotionally connected to something, it’s unlikely we’ll take action. Unfortunately, the action we do take is usually ruled by the heart, and may be more reactive and oversensitive than purposeful.
"Cancer, get ready to claw your way to success! The stars align in your favor, and with the power of your pincers, you'll overcome any obstacles in your path. Don't be crabby, embrace your inner warrior and seize the day! And remember, if it bleeds, you can predict it!"

Ah, Cancer! The crab of the zodiac. You may be feeling a little bit like Sam Bell from Moon right now, stuck in your own little world and wondering what the heck is going on. But fear not, my crabby friend, because the moon and Mars are both in your sign right now, which means you're basically unstoppable.
You might have noticed that the First Quarter moon is 7.5 days old, which is kind of like being halfway through a marathon. So keep pushing yourself, Cancer! You've got this. You might feel a little bit moody or emotional, but that's just because you care so damn much.
And speaking of caring, don't forget to take care of yourself, too. Maybe it's time for a little self-care ritual, like taking a bath with some essential oils or meditating under the moonlight. Whatever it is, make sure you're giving yourself the love and attention you deserve.
